When some people think of Texas, the stereotype is Cowboys and farms, so I figure instead of a cow wrangler why not a catfish wrangler.

I operated a fruit and vegetable farm for years under the name "Smithaven Farms". It makes a good screen name because there are usually no others on a website.

A co-worker that knew how much I love to fish gave me a hat that says "Bass Predator". I love the hat and I wear it A LOT but I dont go after just bass, I go fishing for anything with fins. So "Fish Predator" seemed like a better screen name.

We were at Inks Lake for our annual campout some years ago and another camper saw me with my own 4 kids (one son, three girls) and one of our foreign exchange daughters. We were fishing all together. Correction...the kids were fishing, I was baiting hooks and untangling lines. The other camper was having an argument with his wife that could easily be overheard and she was yelling at him about his unwillingness to take their son fishing. She yelled at him, "Look at that guy over there. He's taking 5 kids fishing and you won't even take yours!!!" My kids smiled at me and suggested we move to another location. The guy later came and found me and asked if he and his little boy could fish with us. He did and we had a good time. He told me he hates to miss out on a good fish if he has his kid in tow..I told him the last thing I think about when my kids are fishing is me catching anything ...just let me catch the memories...good enough. Only 2 kids left at home now but when the others are back from college, Spain, and the Czech Republic we all go fishing together. I don't recall my biggest fish but I do recall lots of great memories taking 5 kids fishing. That's how I got mine.
