Went yesterday and once again my trip got cut short. I fished the burnt out bridge area for about an hour and a half then had to go. I had 1 small bass and 1 21 inch red. The fishing was very tough but I didnt get to try anywhere else so thats all I have.

Well thats not good Hobo. The river has been fishing very tuff for me since early last summer with the drought.

Okay guys, back on topic. We only have a week until this thing gets started again.

Don't forget, pre-registering at Simon Outfitters will make you eligible for the weekly drawing for a free Simon Outfitters gift certificate.

I have already signed up.

MAJOR EDIT...I posted above that we "have a couple of weeks until this thing gets started again."

I was incorrect and edited the post within 15 minutes. I am sorry if anyone read it and was mislead by my inaccuracies.

The tournament begins Tuesday the 27th...that is one week.

After the rain finishes you should be able to catch bass on the flats in the north end of the lake

Based on current water levels, I am thinking that there will be some fish caught near the Merry-go-Round at Sunset Park.

You wont even have to go under the train trestle just keep it on plane and cruise right over it.

That's the problem with the fishing early in the year the rain and wind keep it dirty. If you can get enough time for it to clear up some you can catch fish but more than likely it will rain again before that can happen. The only place that might have clear water right now would be bluebirds or other dead end cuts.

Everybody keep in mind there could possibly be camps and houses with water very close to flooding. Keep that in mind when running or idleing.
