I have a Quantum KVD Tour on mine. In fact, that exact combo is laying at the bottom of Lake Davy Crockett, so keep an eye out for it & let me know if you find it! smile

Still looking for opinions from an old school reel user, like myself. Wanting to blend old school and new technology. I don't know why I want to put a trusty 4500/4600 Ambassadeur reel on top.

In that case throw a lews bb1 or bb1ng on it.

I don't know how it would balance on that set-up but i can dig my bb1 out of my antique collection and put it on there to see how the weight feels with it, but i think it would make a decent old school combo..

There's gotta be some old school person out there with a Veritas rod and an Ambassadeur 4600 combo. Let me hear from you.

I have a 4600 on a Veritas 7.0 ft Medium action that I use for top water only. I have not problem with the feel or action. I like it because it has the slower action and forces me to let the fish take the bait before I set the hook. I have no problems with the set up. I have 6 of the Revo STX reels too, but just hang on the the round reels. Us old guys love the old tools.

15. Signature images may not be larger than 600 pixels wide by 125 pixels tall. This includes logos, photos and other graphics. Also, no more than one row of images are allowed. If you want four or five logos in your signature, reduce their size to fit in one row.

Can't beat a new Lew's Speed spool or Tournament Speed Spool. That's whats on mine and they are balanced perfectly and perform flawlessly.

In regards to Veritas, I have 2 with a BPS carbonlite on one and an old Shimano Chronarch MG on the other. I love them both.

my dad has the same setup with the veritas and bps carbonlite. the bright arse brass one. haha. nice setup though.
