I walked to the hole yesterday. It was a hike. There were a few fish caught but I didn't stay long. Headed back to some of our other spots. Only caught 1 total. I can see why everyone raves about the hole. There are people parking behind the new housing addition on 114. That cuts the distance off quite a bit.

I've got a 10 ft pelican bass raider with a trolling motor. Where is the easiest place to launch it? Is the best bet to drop it in at trophy club park?

Thanks!

You should try and launch around 377 and just fish your way west from there. You should find them. I don't think a battery will make it from the boat ramp at Trophy Club park past 377 and back. A 30lb trust won't pull you into the hole anyway with the current as strong as it is right now so no need to worry about trying to go up that far.

There was a boat sitting in the first right bend just past 377 on the left side. Theres a log there. They sat there this week and cleaned up on crappie and white bass. I talked to a guy in a kayak that only made it halfway to the hole. Both of these were examples where people did well and didn't get all the way to the hole. I'll also note that everyone and their dog will be at the hole this weekend. You'll do better to find your own spot.

What color was his kayak? I was at denton creek yesterday & tried to make to the hole from trophy club park in my kayak. Not really sure how close I got to the hole & I was too tired to find out. Since I've caught plenty of sandies already, I turned back.

BTW, how are people catching crappie there? My normal jig/bobber method isn't working there? I've thrown all the jigs & color combination I had in my tackle box without so much as a nibble.

Hey REN haven't seen you since last year at the Clear Fork. Getting to the blue hole from Marshall Creek is a marathon paddle. Best bet is to park at the bike park on 377 and dolly to the creek and paddle from there. MUCH closer. I was the guy with the Yellow Heritage Osprey. Good luck man.

Nice thread. A lot of helpful information. After reading the majority of the post, it gives me a little idea of the creek. I just recently move to Irving(635/mac arthur)and this creek seems to be closer than RC. It seems like the biggest issue in this creek is parking. I will try scouting the area sometime this week.

Once again, great tips. TY

Did you used to have another screen name? Treadlightly2 doesn't ring a bell & my memory is like swiss cheese....lol Do you fish denton creek often? I'm gonna have check out how I can launch from 377. The peddle from the boat ramp was brutal.

Hey I plan on going to Denton Creek this week and was wondering where is the best place to legally park. Years ago I use to park on the shoulder of the road off 377 by the bridge. Is that still an option? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ren, we fished the stretch from Lake Worth to Eagle Mountain last year. You had a habit of dropping your gear in the water but were very good at getting it back...Lol. I did it a few times myself. The fishing was great though.

@Treadlightly- Oh that "stretch"....shhhhhhhh, it's sill pretty much unknownThis year, it didn't produce like it did last year. Last year, I was able to catch a limit a few times, but this year the closest I came to a limit was 18. Have you been down there this passed fall/winter?

New here, forgive me if this is a dumb question... It looks like you can get to Denton Creek through the Rock Quary on CR338. Does anyone know if that's possible or if that's the correct section of Denton Creek to get to?

Thanks,
Damon
