What!!!!! That sucks about the rod! I hear Academy sells $12.99 rod holders that help that problem.  same thing happened to me with a kahuna spoon tied on. Luckily it floated for a second and I snatched it back. And to make it even worse, a stupid 12" sandbass did it. Hahaha 12"....I can top that. I have a REVO STX on the bottom of Lavon and you know there are no 12" sandbass in that lake..lol

Muddog Sorry to hear about your combo going over board. Jeff you too. That is 5 rod and reels I personally know about that those sandies / Hybrids have stolen from some of you including me when My brother lost mine up at texoma.--LOL--

Awesome report! It's nice to fish when the winds aren't blowing 30 mph. May try and hit the lake this afternoon......

Awesome report! It's nice to fish when the winds aren't blowing 30 mph. May try and hit the lake this afternoon...... Thinking about it myself...It looks like winds are going pretty good outside now.

2/21 question..
I noticed the majority of boats ended up dead center in the lake when it was all said and done. I was having a little fun over by Chandlers and stayed there most of the day. My question has to do with being in the center. Was that because it got a little chilly the past few nights and fish moved out to deeper water or not? Can anyone give a report on the action out that way yesterday? What was the flavor of the day

2/21 question..

On the eve of 21st I was at Red Barn with another boat killing them. As for yesterday they were stacked up the power plant jetty and I30 west side by Robinson Park. We used small slabs with flies above deadsticking and slow roll flukes for Hybrids.
