Hey there everybody, just a quick update from our day on Hubbard. We started around 8:30 this morning and it was dead calm. Just a beautiful day. Hit our first spots and it was HYBRID ON! We whacked em good and had a great time laughing at each other while we missed a few bites

A little later in the day we were fishing some open water spots and we saw a group of gulls starting to swirl right above us. After a few seconds of that, one of them dove right into the water less than 10 feet from our boat! That'll get your attention. I thought somebody fell out hahahaha! for about the next 10 minutes, we absolutely got mauled by hybrid. It was a huge pack of em running around and they were HUNGRY. Two break offs and 4 caught and they were gone like a ghost in the night. Good times! Ended the day with two limits of sand bass and 7 keeper hybrid.

I still have a few dates around spring break if anybody is interested. I might be in a shiny new ride by then.....im crossing my fingers

I hope it's not a blue one Paul. Just Kidding! When you started this about a bird I thought you were talking about the snow owl at Harbour Bay that has all the Birders out. It is some thing to see. It was on the news Sunday night.

Paul, saw you out there today for a few seconds. I went by myself and found myself in a quasi-boatshow but I promise I never looked up until they were there. I started to say hi but hated to disburb you. Wasn't long before I looked up again and you were gone.

Here's my day on Hubbard 2-21...

Showed up about 10am. Lake was like glass. Few boats. I went over by Chandlers and caught a crappie. Ugly muted rascal. He acted dead when I got him in the boat. Then a nice sandy. Then the boats started surrounding me. However they had it going on and I didn't. I stayed back from the show and tried to do my own thing. Had some brief action and in the melee I stuck a Quanum reel and All Star rod in a rod holder and must'a had a hybrid hammer it, the rascal hit the water and dove to the bottom. I wanted to cry to momma but she wasn't there.

Then the weatherman needed his ____ kicked in cause the wind started screamin and I couldn't keep my flatbottom destoyer on a pile of fish.

Overall a great time was had except for the Quantum. Was wishin I was in Paul's boat.

What!!!!! That sucks about the rod! I hear Academy sells $12.99 rod holders that help that problem. same thing happened to me with a kahuna spoon tied on. Luckily it floated for a second and I snatched it back. And to make it even worse, a stupid 12" sandbass did it. Hahaha
