Ive bought 2 ugly sticks and the older one that i have is still in great shape! The second purchase broke on a fish that was no more than 30-35 lbs. I am tossing that up to just grabbing a bad apple...

Man, why do people on here try to cram pro anglers down your throt? People don't try to ask about another rod, pro anglers is the end all, it gets kinda old, just saying...

I don't know about the Tiger Rods. but I use the white Ugly Stick catfish rods. I caught a blue about 5 inches long. That should be sensitive enough. I have caught big blues up to 31 pounds. That should be strong enough.

Pro angler is a locally owned company providing a good rod for the money. Nobody is cramming anything, they are just real popular around here. I happen to have 17 of them and they haven't let me down on cats up to 68#. Maybe one of these days I will catch a sure enough biggun on them, then I can tell you how they really perform!!! Lol

Are the Pro Angler comparable in price to the Ugly Stick?
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

At the end of the day its a personal preference. No one has really suggested that the ProAngler rod is the end all rod. Its just a rod that performs well without dropping a ton of cash on one single rod. I like the way they load up the circle hooks. Yet, I do keep another one or two of other brand rods for fishing "ninja" style with trebles or khale hooks. Again, personal preference.

Are the Pro Angler comparable in price to the Ugly Stick? How much are the ugly sticks? Pro Anglers run $42-$50 depending on length and handle material.

I'll add this. Pro Angler is one of the only outfits I know of that will lower the price when you buy multiple rods.

I used to have 7 - 8'0 uglystick catfish rods and 7 - Proanglers, there is not a thing wrong with the uglysticks, I just liked the Proanglers better, they are just a little stiffer, but I just liked the feel of them, and I have caught several 50# + fish on them and can tell you they hold up good, so I sold the uglysticks and bought all proanglers, I am sure I could have probably caught the same fish if I had the ugly-sticks, I just wanted all of them to be the same,
It's up to you, but for about the same money if you pick both of them up, and see which one you like the best.
