So after the talk about using crank baits for crappie got me and jeff in the mood to go at it. we got to the lake at 730 am and hit the water first we fished brushpiles catching lots of small fish then started searching for bait balls and bingo, found one strech of water just covered in shad. So out with the cranks and within ten minutes boom first fish So I take picture of the fish then as i grab fish it shakes head and crank comes flying out resulting in

not good tried pullng tried pushing the hook through nothing but pain got sick but kept fishing after a couple hours we called it a day so I could goto ER and have it removed wich was no fun. So guys if you plan on crankin net every fish and lay the rod in the bottom of the boat. Ive made mistakes before but never one this dumb while fishing. by the way did snag a pair of sunglasses while fishing and the zebra muscles have takin over texoma hope they get it under control.

OUCH. Everytime i see someone do that it makes me Almost wanna give up fishing. Thats one of the main reasons trebles are not allowed in the boat or even in a two mile radius of me. Hope it gets better.
