I think it you should b able to use it. We have more than one depth finder and more than one power pole. It's just another tool just like power poles, depth finders. I don't c what the big deal is by having a bait that has more than one hook on it or five hooks on it. It's just another bait. I agree^.. People seem to be going off the deep end over the "Alabama Rig". Paul Elias won one tournament with it and people have went nuts over it. It is funny to me how people are in a "panic" over it.

The "hydrowave" is not being questioned why this?
Hydrowave propoganda says it attracts fish or puts them in a feeding frenzy. What's the difference?
I say leave it alone. Just because a bunch of pros got their butts handed to them doesn't mean it should be outlawed.
Paul Elias was the angler using it and he is a Bassmaster Elite series Pro and a former Bassmaster Classic winner.

Real simple... Is it legal? Does it harm the fish from being released? This is the most important isue no matter what lure is being used. There are different ways to catch bass. One angler may like spinner baits more and one angler may like crank baits more. Just because a angler tricks out his lure and does well on it does not mean it should be a controversial topic. I have used one and I had no luck on it. Just as I use a flick shake 60% of the time and have succes but my when my son uses a flick shake he does not have any succes. Leave it alone unless it is deemed unlawful to game fish and/or there is a high risk of not being able to release the fish.

In the morning be first up, and in the evening last to go to bed, for they that sleep catch no fish.

I think it should be allowed. If you are stout enough to chunk a couple ounces all day long then more power to you. I think that comparing an a rig to using multiple rods at one time is retarded.

Its one Rod, and one line, all the hooks are going to one line in the same area, to me that is one bait, not two rods and two baits in two areas (great idea wish that I would have done it) Dont see any wrong in it If this one rod one bait is wrong Then there are other tours that will let you do IT !!!!!
Remember when dragging road bed on trolling motor wasnt right

I think we should allow it, if the FLW and BASS tour events are allowing then so should the trails. Its still a technique that has to be worked properly to catch them, the fish dont just jump in the boat because you have an Alabama Rig tied on. From what I've read its mainly for suspended bass or schooling bass. Hell, you can wear them out just as easy with a topwater or crank when you catch them at the right time schooling. Go with it.

I Don't see the Problem with it. It has actually been used for a while and just an adaption from the Saltwater umbrella rig.
With most of our lakes it will be useless most of the time anyway. Too much cover and grass.
I am a BLT member also.

Alabama rig should not be allowed nor any rig with more than one lure.

The DONKEY rig( 2-3-4 flukes rigged on the same rod) has been around forver. used to win an Elite series event on a BlueBack Hearing lake this year and nobodody said a word about it. The only difference in this rig is that they are spread instead of inline. I just can't see the problem.
