Doesn't matter to me as long as you can only use one rod per cast. What is the difference in one rod with a bunch of baits on it or multiple rods with one bait on each? Im with JR I say no not now or ever there is no need in it.

If you start to modify the rules for this application then where can it go from here? No red lures? No spawn fishing? No barbs on hooks? No braided line? "SOMEBODY" will always have a personal justifiction as to why we can't do something. Especially if they don't do it and get beat! The Alabama Rig is a seasonal lure and it won't work for all situations and applications. Don't try to legislate every aspect of fishing. If the state does not make a change then leave it alone.

Exactly, trying innovative lures is fun, don't take the fun out of fishing.. plus the ARig is made in America...

Well here's my opinion on this matter. I believe if you throw a shaky and drop shot at the same time is ok. When you are throwing something with 5 similar baits on it is a bit much. Now with that said I think it is very innovative for the bass fishing community. The real question is does it have a place in the tournament community? Not for me to decide really. I say if it is allowed by our bigger brothers why not allow it. I don't see myself throwing it but that's just me. I also see people having a lot of problems with it. So let this one slide and watch it go out of style pretty quick.

im all for leaving it as it is. i could see it having its time and place on certain lakes but do not see it threatning anyone who fishes weekend trails here in texas. these are a bunch of guys who know the lake and stick to what works time in and time out. now for many of you, you probable have never seen the rig much less thrown it. i know i sure havent but don't knock it till you try it. i believe this rig will play roles on lakes that have an abundance of herring, such as the carolinas etc. sorry for rambling but i just don't see it as a threat around here.

I could care less about the Alabama Rig in BLT, Id much rather see you guys change your website. It is the hardest and less informative site I have seen for tournaments. It takes nearly 10 minutes to find anything your looking for on there, and then your redirected over to facebook.
I have a few of your tourneys on the calander for next year to fish, but this is one complaint I have.

You now what they say... ( If you give an inch, they will take a mile..)
I would like to see fishing stay rooted.

I plan on fishing BLT next season. I think the A-rig should be allowed. Some say it should stay rooted. However change is going to happen. When I started fishing my boat had stick steering and a 50 Hp motor. Do we all need to go back there? It is way down the root!

I am a member of BLT. Why would you not want people using the A-rig. If people catch fish on it then everybody will be using one. I say allow the a-rig!

I think we are ALL past the " should boats have steering wheel issue.." here Im a saying I just would not like to see it get out of hand.. The A-rig I understand... (school of bait fish)
BUT... then... maybe tomorrow you have the BULLY BAIT.. you cast it out and it goes and finds the bass kicks its butt and throws it in the boat...LOL
You have to close the rule book sometime, so set them clearly and close it..

I don't see a problem with allowing it. There is a small percentage of time that this style rig will work anyway.

Doesn't matter to me as long as you can only use one rod per cast. What is the difference in one rod with a bunch of baits on it or multiple rods with one bait on each? The difference is that the effectiveness of sticking so many lures on a single rod will begin to diminish at a certain point (it will become to bulky to cast or bring through cover). If you allow anglers to use more than one rod at a time, most would have spider rigs all over there bass boats with multiple rods and multiple rigs on those multiple rods. I think the established rule of having to complete a cast before you can make another and using only one rod at a time is sufficient.

I fish the BLT, Why change any rules? The bait is just another tool. It's not like only a select few can use this bait / whatever it is LOL. It is open to all so the competition is still there.

The "hydrowave" is not being questioned why this?
Hydrowave propoganda says it attracts fish or puts them in a feeding frenzy. What's the difference?
I say leave it alone. Just because a bunch of pros got their butts handed to them doesn't mean it should be outlawed.

It's not sporting. It's commercial fishing.
