you couldn't give me a million yards of Vanish,I thought they discontinued it, they should, its the worst line Berkeley ever devised, I only used it for a short time & had more line breakage then with any other line ever. Seaguar is the only flourcarbon

hello, I am intrigued by a cheaper way of using fluorocarbon tippet. If I want to get a spool of a fluorocarbon that equivalent of 5x tippet, which one should I go for? A 4 lb line enough?

Get the small spools of 2lb, 4lb, and 6lb vanish, start with 2lb when your tapered leader gets shorter, put about 18 inches of 4lb on and 2lb when the leader gets shorter again add 6lb, 4lb, and 2lb so the line is still tapered. This way is alot cheaper than replacing the whole leader.
