Three Rivers Fly Shop and Sid's Fly Shop are both excellent sources of current data on the river and conditions. Check out their websites!

Agreed.

Cheaper if you get a spool of floro, that you would put on a spinning rod. 6-10$ for 1000 yards. I use that for heavier flies.

Or 25 yards of 7x for 6$ or so that I use for small stuff.

well I was gonna throw away all the line I change out on my reels, but I can tie them end to end & let you have them for 6-10 dollars, I'd give it all away but thats a lot of labor tyin' that many knots.

I make enough knots when casting without starting with line that has them in it!!! hammer

You may be workin w skinny margins, but it's a volume game BB. Once we all start tying on 7ft of tippet to our leaders you'll have more biz than you know what do with.

I bet hooksets are fun w a 9ft 5wt and 7x

You gotta check out the san juan worms while you're there too:

"Great for most rivers and streams. Well known trout catcher, but also excellent for kokanee salmon runs."

gotta respect a kokanee reference

Definitely my go-to fly when the koke's are running out of broken bow

(you might up your conversions if you go with a more local reference. i don't know... maybe carp?)
