I stopped ordering from BPS and Cabelas because of shipping cost. Long live TW!! If they don't have it I don't use it.

one of the few advantages to living in DFw, we can go in person with 50 miles, are 2 Cabelas and 2 BPS stores

Along with a few great Fly Shops.

Other than that, I have a Amazon Prime account, with free 2 day shipping.

TW over $50 is great

I try to save up and combine TW orders, when I know there is going to be a sale, like Labor Day 15% off.

I sure hope you didn't pay $8.50 for shipping.

BPS is not an online retailer. Sure, they sell things online...but that's not their business model. Tackle Warehouse is specifically designed for online sales, and therefore is much more efficient on that front.

If I ever have to make a small order online, I don't recall paying more than $5-$6 for shipping at TW.

Yes shipping cost is going crazy, that's why I stopped shipping UPS and ship everything in a Priorty Flat Rate Box, it's cheaper and faster, the smallest *box is $5.20 and I can up to 5 bag's depending on the lure.

* Sorry no14", 16" or 18" worms in that size box.

You got it! Yet somehow this economic effect still manages to piss me right off. Go with Tackle Warehouse. BassTackleDepot is good too, but they have screwed up more than one of my orders.

I don't see how you people order from Tackle Warehouse and NOT spend at least $50! I need to learn how you do it cause I don't think I've placed an order under $100.

Tackle Warehouse and Land Big Fish both have Free Shipping on orders over $50. I always look to them first over Bass Pro anymore. If Bass pro wants my money they can simply change their shipping and price policies.

I am in love with tacklewarehouse. Like someone else said, its hard for me NOT to spend at least 50 bucks there. Free shipping and no tax. Kind of hard to beat that. Not to mention the fact they have more stuff in stock than BPS, Cabelas, and most of the online stores could ever dream of. Sure you might find 1 or 2 items somewhere else that TW doesnt have, but overall you really cant beat TW.

I do feel kind of guilty of ordering at TW to get out of the tax charge. I would like to support the local tackle shops in Texas but right now its more important for me to save money than to be supportive. Im probably wrong for that but cash is a little tighter now than it was before.

If you are ordering from Bass Pro log in and put stuff in your cart but don't check out. Usually they will sent you an email offering free shipping over $100 order within 24 hours to entice you to go ahead and place your order.
