I've had 2 pro anglers and love them also had a revo and outback
they are fine yaks but the pa is the bomb only negative is moving it around on land once it's in the water it's a dream. I have the hobie cart and load it all the time by myself in the bed of my truck. The room you have is awesome and standing up to castnet bait or sightcast to tailing reds is a breeze. The seat is great never have a wet arse again. Once a buddys yak got a hole in it and took on water I told him to sit on the back of my pa and hold onto the front of his yak while I towed him back to the launch

I wasnt aware it weighed 160 pounds. Most of the time I would use it at the coast so that wouldnt matter but loading it up might be a pain in the tail.

I wasn't aware it weighed 160lbs either. I went to the hobie website and they say 88lbs there. It has a 600lb carrying capacity too.
I have the outback and am very happy with it's performance. It weighs 66lbs but the carrying capacity goes down to 400lbs. It's extremely stable, and a happy medium between the PA and the Revolution. The average trip I'm taking on Ray Roberts has increased to 7-8 miles in a day. And yes I'm tired at the end of the day. LOL.
The Pro Angler is huge. But if your looking for stability, I'm not sure if it can be beat. The best thing you could do is to go test drive it at the same time as the Outback and the Revolution. The Revolution is a rocket compared to my Outback. However you give up some of the stability of the Outback to obtain the speed of the Revolution. It's a trade off that only you can decide whats right for you and the type of fishing you will be doing.

88 pounds is bare bones. Once you get the seat, drive and rigging it goes up to I think... 109. The extra 50 pounds is all my gear.

Oh, ok. Yea that makes since. I've wanted to see how much my Outback really weighs fully rigged out myself.

Can put a bunch of junk in it. I got it at Austin Kayaks for 2200. It can be a bear to load. At some point I think I will get an outback or a smaller yak but what's really cool is I can stand up in it and cast. It does need about a foot of water for the peddle drive.

I see you are using the front scuppers for the cart. Is that a better balance point? I have been using the behind the seat scuppers.

I use those ones too, skinner. But I don't have the Hobie cart. I made my own out of aluminum, garden hose, and some wheeleez tires.

i like the aircraft carrier but I would rather paddle. If i was going with Hobie Id probably go with the Outback. Please Don't tell Ren.

what is weight rating on the BOTE thing MR?
We paddled Liquid Logic's version at the GTG & I thought it was pretty nice. Think id sit lower than that guy & use a kayak paddle. more efficient IMO. i don't care for those stand up paddles too much :~(

I knew you were a in-the-closet Hobie Outback lover C'mon ninja go ahead & get it over with and buy one. You got the ends for it. Mariner Sails got some good deals.

Does your PA look like this when you're in it on the water?
