Broke Carrot, sorry for the loss but count your blessings! 1st: Now you know. 2nd: Due to economy, all rod companies are changing their replacement policies. I invested in five Power Tackle Rods because they are great quality and the draw was a no question lifetime warranty. Broke my first (and hopefully my last) Replmnt cost was $100 plus shipping. This is about the same for G-loomis. 3rd: I hope you don't complain everytime you get hung up, BREAK IT OFF!!

When will the carrot stix haters give it a break. Bad batches early but folks can't let it go. Have had 4 gold stix four 4 years that have been to Falcon 4 times with no failures. Caught fish to 10-9 on them. Leaned on them has hard as I can, swung fish in the boat with them and no problems. All rods break and so will a carrot stix. I guess haters gonna hate. They are super light and sensitive and if anyone has a 7' or longer gold (medium heavy or heavy but not new micro guide models) I'd be glad to take it off your hands. PM me with price.

I'm not hate'n! But there are better rods out there for the money now. For example: The new Abu Garcia Veratis with Nano Tech has a three year warranty! AND as you guys I know took them to Falcon to try to break them. So yer right, it is a dead horse!

Carrot stix and kistler are tied in my boat for most rods broken with 4 each. No other brand has more than 1.
I am talking snapped into multiple pieces not broke from being stepped on etc.

I only have 1 carrot stix, it is a 7' mh wild that I got during the last academy rod riot for $69. I have caught 3 or 4 5lbers, one over 6 and an 8 lber with it....no issues. I like the wild, very light, easy to cast heavy and light plastics accurately, and VERY sensative -- it is as sensative as my caras...and I love my caras!

I'm sure they were in the groups of blanks that kistler had heck with for a while.

I had the Wild version and really liked it...my only complaint was the guide at the tip of the rod kept popping out. I also tried the Academy H20 series, because of the 60$ price tag, but broke 2 of them in 3 weeks. One on a hook set and one on a snag...2nd was prob my fault. However when the H20 broke there was no splintering...just a clean break with a hollow inside. Wasn't very impressed.

Guess I have been fortunate with my (5) Carrot Stix rods, no problems as of yet and have had them for a long time. You think it is because I have the Carrot Stix Wild makes a difference? Many pro's on tour and the college tours use them. +1 I have a Gold series and a Wild series and both are holding up just fine.

I am in the process of switching to all Dobyns rods,I think I have 7 now. I broke one of Extreme rods a couple months ago, I walked in handed the local retailer the rod I carelessly broke and $60 he handed me the exact same rod. For a rod that retails for $300+ I would say $60 is a good replacement for MY FAULT damage. If it would have been a defect if would have been free.
I have ZERO complaints about Dobyns warranty..
I'm with you doug. I think I have 8 now and can't wait till that's all I have.
