I have friends in from out of state and they have a cabin on Richland Chambers Labor Day weekend. I have never fished RC. I would like to catch a few White Bass or Hybrids any advice would be great. I also was reading about Oak Cove is a place to launch the boat. The cabin is closer to a boat ramp on the south side of the lake called Midway Landing? With the water down is Oak Cove the best boat ramp to use?

Check out the thread below. I went by all these ramps last sunday to check them out.

I dont get down by midway landing much so I have no idea what that area of the lake looks like right now. You could launch at Fishermans point. Its on the same side of the lake as midway landing. That ramp at Fishermans Point is very steep but it is certainly usable. If you are not familiar with the lake be very careful down by midway. Theres a ton of stumps down there.

As far as fishing goes I havnt been out in 2 weeks so I will defer that question to someone who knows much better than I do. Hopefully mark parker or royce simmons will chime in. Ill be out saturday afternoon and night fishing. I'll post a report on the fishing then.

Oak Cove Marina and Fishermans Point are both serviceable. I use the ramp at Oak Cove. (they make a good burger as well)

As far as the stumps go, it's actually a great time to fish the lake as you can see all of the stumps that are normally just under the waters surface. Be careful of course but it's nice being able to see them all and even mark some new ones.

Fishing has been good. Most all of my trips we limit on white bass and as always try to catch some hybrids. It's different every day out there and the fish haven't been real dependable. Use your electronics and keep moving until you find them.

Good luck and be safe on the holiday weekend.
