Howdy! My wife and I may take the boat out Friday probably launch from Highport just to mess around and put some hours on the new boat. Any suggestions on where I might have some luck this time a year? What depth seems to be working? I'll probably just throw a prune picker if I still have some.

It has been so long since I have done any serious fishing any help appreciated!

By the way when does the striper fishing generally pick up in the Fall? October?

Go north outa Highport..in the afternoons youll likely find a bunch of small fish schooling on top anywhere from highport to TI point.. Slab under them for better fish ..look along the river ledges where it drops from shallow to deep.

Six Old Geezers (6OG)

Fall is great around 1st week of November, usually. This year may be different, depends on how long the heat lasts.

Dude, I will be there tomorrow and Saturday morning.
We will launch at Highport too. My boat is a Robalo that is "fighting lady yellow" with a black t-top. You are welcome to
follow us around or PM me and I will give you my number so hopefully I can direct you to some fish.

Cool! What time do you plan on being out there tomorrow? I gotta work till 1 so it will be likely 3 or so before I make it out there.

I saw your boat in the show your ride thread, hard to tell looks like a 24' Robalo including that pulpit on the bow? Should be easy enough to spot smile

We will be driving up early so hopefully on the water by 07:00 AM. I will be on my second wind at 3:00 PM. We will be staying at a friends house who fishes there almost every day. He should have some suggestions for the late afternoon and evening bite.
