I had a fish take my worm but was hooked deep, took awhile to get him off and back in the water. By the time I got him into the water I forgot I had not rebaited the hook and remembered as I cast. So I very quickly cranked in the bare hook to rebait and got hit. Pulled in a 2-3 pounder. Figure the flash through the water trigged the strike.

Careful now ..those things really worked on fork for awhile. Still have 2 of them! Just decided to try them again a few days ago!

2 one was a diamond shaped piece of wood. No paint just 2 sets of treble hooks. Copied it from an old bait in my grandpa's tackle box in wood shop.
The other was a cigarette butt my father discarded in the lake. A bass swirled at it next to the boat. So I reached out and grabbed it and put on a Texas rig I had in my hand. Dangled it in the same area of the swirl. Bam! 2lber!

Pre-fishing a pond for perch before a Girl Scout father daughter outing. Caught a 3#'r on a cricket hook with a piece of worm. The kicker was that is was on my daughter's Mickey Mouse rod-n-reel.

Caught a double digit on a Kastmaster... tiny 1inch long gold kastmaster with a tiny hook. I still can't believe I landed her!

I had a Grand Mother when I was a kid that was fishing with us. We had run out of bait, so she puts a piece of bubble gum on her hook and caught about a 5 lb bass.

"Two Tiny Toads" Made by Scum Frog - it is two small frogs connected by a thin steel leader about 10" apart. A friend and I tore up the bass one year when the topwater frog bite was on, we did well in bass club tourneys and everyone laughed at us when we showed them what we were using. Good Times!!!! Amen...
