Wow! Been taking my daughter to gymnastics in Converse for two years and had no idea there was a lake there.
Some questions.
1. Open to public? fishing access all around it?
2. Hours of operation?
Any local restrictions?
As I've said been taking my daughter to gymnastics 2+ hours a day, three days a week for nearly two years. Don't get me wrong, but I can only take watching so much gymnastic practice. Would rather be over at the lake fishing to pass the time.

Hey AC, it is a really nice pond/small lake. The water level is pretty low right now, but there are still plenty of fish out there. You can catch some really nice gills, bass and catfish (though I have yet to catch a catfish out there...and I have tried!!!). You ought to join us on TuN3R's site. It is just for us SA fishermen.
TuN3R, I'm still planning on Sat. morning out there, just not sure what the weekend holds for me at this point so no guarantees yet.

Well, I plan to give it a shot this evening after I drop my daughter off at gymnastics.
If nothing else, it should help pass the time til I have to pick her up. lol

Made it out there. Had some equipment issues. Kept feeling the bites but my bobber never moved. After feeding the fish about 5 times, realized my bead was above the stop. lol at myself. Finished catching 6 with biggest a hair over 6 inches.
