It was too early and dark when i took that picture that was first cast and first catch this morning  It was 8inch ..urban_fisher caught 8 and half inch.

Nice Redear and Blue Gill! Good Job. How was the lake holding up? I have not been their in a couple of weeks.

Yeah, it was a lot of fun. Four of us from safishingforum.com (TuN3R's site) met up at Converse this morning. We all got into some nice fish. I love those big gills out there. TuN3R was also catching some nice bass. Banker, I too have not been out there for some time. I figured with this draught and the-water-letting-out incident this Spring that it would just be a big mud hole. So I was glad to finally go out there and check it out. I was so happy to see the shape that it is in. The water is still really low, but there is still plenty for the fish. TuN3R included most of the pictures, but here is a couple of mine. As you can tell, the gills and bass are doing just fine out there.

Nice fish. Good to see the low water levels aren't hurting the fishing too much. I'll have to make it to one of these outings when my wife doesn't work. I am hitting the spillway at Dunlap early tomorrow morning(6:30) and slinging some flies for a while.

Great to see a good report from Converse Lake.  Those are also some nice fish you guys caught. Can't think of any better way to spend a Saturday than fishing with friends. Good job Guys.
