Has anybody made their own? I bought a couple but they are flimsy and bent plus they move around way to much. I am thinking about cutting up some pvc pipe so I can stick it in the ground.

Going bank fishing for cats tonight and thinking ahead ole

I started making and using these a year ago. Now when I go bank fishing I see others using the exact same design - seems to have caught on!

A piece of PVC, 3/8" threaded rod, and some nuts and lock washers.

You can cut the end of the rod at an angle to make it easier to go into the ground. These are very lightweight and strudy. I carry 4 of them in an old folding chair bag.

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting on the water looking like a darn fool.

Great ideas guys! I bought a couple the other night because they were 'needed' and did not have time to fab some up. I will definitely use some ideas as a plan. Thanks guys!

I like that a lot!! Its a pity our welded is a p.o.s harbor freight welder that can't even weld, it just sputters and splatters.

I know how to weld (im not an expert) but speed and temp don't fix it smile

Yeah, that's why I used the PVC/threaded rod approach - I can't weld - wish I could, would come in handy!

I wish I could weld like a pro.

Restoring a 66 mustang with rusted panels is very expensive when you can't...

Yep, restoring an '81 C-10 pickup with the same issue. Good thing I know how to work with fiberglass grin

Only reason I am restoring the car is because I am mechanically savy so I can do all the mechanicals and farming out the body/paint.

Could not imagine paying somebody to do it all.

350 in the c-10?

My brother is the pro in the restoration dept. Has done several frame-offs. '65 Corvette Grandsport, finishing up a '68 Mustang now.

Yep, the C-10 has a 350.
