Thanks for all your help! You are on my "must call" list when I get back up that way. I spoke with a couple of others who fish Ray Hubbard and got some helpful information (ie. safety items) and too bad the WIND doesn't cooperate much in that area - but it was fun and gets put on my "must fish list" until I figure this lake out - which the way it sounds will be a liflong challenge!

Thanks again, it was FUN! thumb

Had a great time again and look forward to doing it next year. Great job with the weigh in guys -- good to meet you afterwards and chat. I may have to come fish Mother Hubbard again soon -- Sunday was fun... I just wish we could have gotten rid of that squeaker and bumped our weight at least 7 100ths... smile Maybe I should have dipped the fish back in the livewell after pictures before placing them in the bag. grin

Thanks to all of the volunteers that make this thing possible and the PVA for taking such good care of everyone.

The entire weekend was awesome....

Great ideal I'm in for the road trip woot woot

Mark glad to see you got home Okay I hope thumb well we met alot of vets and TFF's this past weekend & Rocky I'll try to not spend all the money in one place,we had a pretty good weekend,it all started with Matt Co-owner of Trinity Custom Rods bring me a new Custom spinning Rod & a Daiwa spinning Reel,(Awesome job Matt)then I draw a really good boater who lives on the lake(&lurks here on the TFF) and knew which rocks we needed to fish, Sat my limit was slow coming, but I did finish in 4th place, then I was awarded a C400 Ardent casting reel,in the new Army camo finish by United Access Sunday our limit came sooner , we culled about 9 times and had 21 keeper size fish, great day on the water, just a couple .02/1000 out of the money Sunday I two meeded a couple drops of water after pictures, Yep I'm looking forward to the next event. banana banana
Hats off to RHBC they did a great job with the weight-ins we are lucky to have them helping each year

McDuff, The guy that was named Lon had a Bass Tracker there that had a ramp in the boat so he just wheeled from the driver position up to the front of the boat. Pretty cool setup.

My partner All Kelly was about 70 years old and hailed from Atlanta. He decided to take up tournament fishing thinking this would be something he could enjoy. Al fished hard for two days. He had equipment that was sort of 1980's style. He never did use any of it as I had about 10 setups ready to roll and I just handed him rod after rod and said just throw this, lol.
When he got his 5th keeper in the boat on Saturday I said "Al, I am really digging the snot out of this. You're putting us in the money and my back is not even going to hurt tomorrow". I got to sit in a chair all day and run the trolling motor. First time I got to sit all day since the PVA last year. It was great.

NAS Ft. Worth was part of the plethora of outstanding volunteers that make this event a success every year. They did the loading of the anglers, valet boat launch and retrieve, and guarded the parking lot and many other chores.

Folks from Ray Hubbard Bass Club rocked it out as usual. Great job for sure!

Hats off to all who participated.

Yes a great big thanks to all the N.A.S. guys that were there helping out. You guys made it very easy on the guys every morning and afternoon loading and unloading. Also a special thanks to every other volunteer that helped us throughout the day. This was my first year to be a part of it, but it's the first of many more. The HOODOO boat wants to thank my angler Carlos Turric for making these two days some of the most memorable i've ever had. Thanks again Carlos it was fun give me a shout and we will go to a better lake Fork.
