Point is, it can be pretty cool to live bait.

I have used livebaits getting my wife and kids fish on their hooks, and having fun. I think if I didnt do that I would be fishing totally alone, and now they have learned how to use artificial baits. So The only way I would say its a no no. is if That person is going to be proud of 9 livebait caught fish compared to 4 of mine I caught on a Tx Rigged worm. Then again if I was releasing and he was showing the same size bass at the ramp,..Id be pissed.

What's the big deal here ? I thought fishin was goin out and tryin to catch em, whether it's live bait or plastic everyone enjoys different techniques and methods of fishin. Who really cares how they are gettin caught unless it's Tournament Fishin and rules are in place. I'm shocked that a Professional Guide has to post an explanation to anybody on a Public Forum about how or why he's fishin in any particular manner. A good Guide in my opinion is gonna fish whatever method his Clients ask him to fish, bein Plastic or Live Bait ! If he's worth his salt he will do both and be happy doin it if that's what his Clients want !! At the end of the day who really cares anyway ??

Good for the Guide willing to use live bait to help inexpericed or otherwise to catch a fish of a lifetime or just a fish and make sure someone has a great time. There is technique to catching fish with live bait too. I never use live bait for bass other than when I'm crappie fishing and have caught some nice bass doing it but could care less if someone wants to fish with live bait to target bass.

I want to book a trip with BassPuma. He sounds like a decent guy who knows how to catch big fish and some guides are somewhat jealous. I might be wrong. I know for a fact the guides on here won't tell us exactly where they caught there fish, so why should Puma tell everyone what he caught his on? If I was catching dd fish i wouldn't tell anyone, especially after reading this.

Is it legal to use caught rainbow trout in Fork or any Texas lakes? Now im curious?

fish what works for you as long as its legal and fair to other people trying to fish.

is jamming up a whole cove with a dozen rods legal? yes...is it fair to other fisherman?... probably not...

if what I do is legal and it doesnt affect someone else directly... mind your own business.

i use artificial exclusively by myself or with a partner who can cast.... with kiddos or a novice, ill grab some live bait.

People...You are commenting on a topic that none of yall know the details of. Keep your posts on topic of the original thread and not about the "guide" that uses live bait. Nobody is jealous here...they just want the truth to be told as to how certain fish were caught. Let us all move past this and stay on topic for once.

Are you a moderator? Didn't think your name was on the list?

I am not...but I do know the facts as to what has taken place. The point has been made clear and I believe the "guide" understands everybodies stance on the matter. Is it too much to ask to just let it go?

You are the one that brought the guide up, not the OP, you are the one with what appears to be an agenda. Read the topic of the post, doesn't have a guide in it anywhere. I am done, so continue you're crusade against BassPuma, you are the one looking in from the outside right now. I am done with the drama.

Good night!
