If you don't care what people think why did you ask questions? Gotta take the good with the bad on asking for help on a public forum.

Nobody ever told me Jack ! grin Really I think newbies should go back and read. I have been fishing for a long time, but thats what I did before I decided to post anything, ther is too much valuable info in the tombs. People come on here everyday and ask the same ???s that they could get answers to by reading and many more tips, clues, advice and even spots and bait, sometimes if you ask a ? you may not get a response for a while but if you read instead of waiting on someone to hand you the answers to the test, you will learn a lot more. That being said doesn't mean I won't help just my .02

It's not a big deal and it's not going to go away. The 1st thing people do when they have questions about anything new is to go online and search. They find a forum, they ask questions, they go fishing. They might never fish again or they might become regulars. Either way, it's not a problem to just move on if you don't want to answer their questions.

Many forums have an FAQ forum where these things are listed for new users to access.

could be he/she's been tryin and hasnt had any luck and came on here hoping yall wouldnt be such ---- about it. and instead of just ignoring someone who you dont agree with or care to help, you come on here and fill up the whole thing with [censored] about what he's asking for. my nephews are nicer than yall when it comes to helpin people out and theyre not over 12 years old...[censored] or are they haha, either way though, treat others as you want to be treated. next time you ask for help hopefully you get a taste of your own medicine. and most importantly, if you dont have something nice to say dont say anything at all. i dont know which part of TX you come from, but where i come from we learned to be polite if nothing else. was that enough or should i keep rambling?

please refrain from the profanity, because as you pointed out there are kids on this site.

This is no different, fishermen ask at diners, tackle stores, gas stations, boat ramps ect... Everyone tries to get a little inside information on where to go, and whats working. Its up to the guy on the other end to decide on how to answer. Can't blame a guy for trying...

and to answer the original question, fish shallow with the wind to your back.

PB Blue Cat = 36 lbs - Texoma
PB Black Bass = 9.9 lbs - Ray Hubbard
PB Striper = 19 Lbs - Beaver Lake AR

I'm thankful for all the things i have, and all the things i don't. I have dreams that will come true and i have some that won't.

Ok to respond to those who have a problem with someone asking questions.

1st.if you dont want to help then dont respond.
2nd.its a catfish,he is not asking for your primary sweet hole, just a place he can go and catch a few.
3rd.How do you expect to keep people interested in fishing, especially young kids, whose time and money are very small. To continue the growth of fishing.
4th.and final,We do have young kids on here and yes they ask questions, some may sound stupid to you, some may make you mad,but what if this young man doe's not have a father are worse yet, what if his father gave his life oversea's for our country, how would you feel about it then, knowing that you just made a total you know what of yourself over a catfish..Come on guy's life is short,im sure yall all had help at one time are another from someone.

I am new to forums and not to fishing. I have posted a report and a few questions to see what was new. If I dont want to see the answer to a question I just skip it. So far I have found this forum full of information and entertaining. Some people just need to take it easy. Maybe a day fishing instead of sitting on forums might be what the doctor ordered.

For you guys that like to gripe, one of these days while reading this forum and you get aggravated about someone asking the same questions you have seen time and again, try PM ing that person and offer to take them fishin, you will more than likely make a good friend and every once In a while you might actually learn something yourself. It just may not be about fishing. JMO
