Bread also works good there. Lots of people feed the ducks bread and the fish grow accustomed to it. Just ball it on your hook and toss it out there a short ways

Just ball it on your hook and toss it out there a short ways +10 Never been skunked when using bread, will usually catch 3 or 4 mud cats to 1 channel but catching is fun. I was sitting next to a couple of guys and caught 10 fish in about 15 minutes, at first they were shocked but then got mad and left, I know a hole where the mud cats hang out for when I just want to catch out there.

I just called TPWD, they didn't stock it yesterday. They are stocking it this week but won't say what day due to greedy people over harvesting on the day they stock it. It only takes a few dumb arses to ruin it for everyone.

If you actually read the site,the daily bag limit at chisolm is 5....Its no wonder it is fished out in a day,because people take home like 25 the day they stock it. Selfish! It's supposed to be for families so their kids can also catch cats,but greedy people go there not caring and taking however many they want. Unbelievable!

Im not saying that everyone does that,just dissapointed my kids cant catch cats when they do decide to fish. Would be nice to see their faces when they snag a big one,ya know.

The evening time is the best time to try it. When they do stock it its usually late afternoon or evening time. I'll be out there every evening after work to check on it.

If anyone can post whether or not they stock it today before 4PM when I leave work that would be great because I dont want to drive all the way over there from irving and its not stocked

what a bunch of jerks that ruin it for the rest of us, my daughter really wants to catch a cat and all we do is c&r but jerks like that ruin it.

I agree,5 is plenty enough. I take my sons with me when I go and they cant catch anything because its fished out the same day they stock it. My friends from work went after work the last time it was stocked and said a guy had atleast 30......
