the day they stock it, the bank will be lined with people, usually get fished out pretty quick. Now if you just want to catch some instead of keeping, the mud cats can be had all the time and are a blast to catch, just use bread for bait.

There are some left from last year and they are a little bigger than what they stock.Use cheap hot dogs and night crawlers for best results.

Yeah I have caught the occasional one after they quit stocking, biggest was 5 pounds. I catch and release but there are definitely eating size in there.

Like catfishhunter said use hot dogs. Everybody makes the mistake of throwing to the middle. Don't do that. Fish under a tree and toss the bait out about 5-10 feet. The cats are at the roots of those trees. Fish in or around them and you will catch. My nephews and niece have worn them out several times there. You can soak the hot dogs in veg oil and garlic powder the day before, sometimes it helps. Good luck

I went yesterday and caught my 5 pretty quick. I used Danny King blood and shrimp with vanilla extract and garlic powder. I caught two on bottom and three on a slip cork about 2 - 3 foot deep.

I have been several times this year and caught some 16 inch plus cats. But you definately have to go the day they stock it or its out, cause I went this week the day after they stocked it and only caught one mud cat.

Might as well go buy some catfish fillets from the store.

I went there this afternoon. there were probably 20 people fishing it. All i had was some pink "liver" catfish bait, figured i'd give it a try. didn't get a bite. didnt see too many people catching either, saw a guy catch a couple of fish on the other side of the pond, small ones, i'm guessing sunfish, or something of that nature.

Fished for about 2 hours. gunna go back next monday when they stock it again i guess.

I'll be there next Monday if they stock it. Since Monday is a holiday.

Me and my wife had an hour or so to kill on monday, so we went back out, just us and 1 guy fishing. He caught 1 small cat (11" or so) and we caught nothing again. must be doing something wrong. throwing punchbait weighted, on about an 18" leader, and also trying some on a bobber at about 24"... IDK...
