Thanks, Dutch,
I'll check my new ones again. My old Rapala(maybe 7-8 year old ) would work with others, but the 4 I bought late last year had moved the locking notch about 1/4" further from the hilt so that my Mako, Hooker and Turner blades, etc. would not latch in.. I have maybe 30-40 pairs of blades that I have picked up for different reasons and nothing but the Rapala would work in my new ones.
I simply may not have any Mister Twisters in the mix. I'll check tonight. Thanks for the info.

For those of you who have several pair of dull electric knife blades. Try this!!! Smith's 10 second Jiffy Sharpener. I know your not supposed to be able to sharpen a serrated blade, but it works. For $7.99 give it a try. http://smithsedge.com/products/product.asp?id=42&cid=4

I just went to cabela's and picked up the knife I ordered a couple of weeks ago. It is the Ginsu that they had on sale from 60.00 to 29.00. I don't know if it is any good, we shall see. It came with 2 sets of blades and has the ability to use both 110 and 12 volt. I had a cheaper one for like 10 years so I figured I try this one. I have been using the manual knife and I sure can butcher the fish, not in a good way. If anyone has used this one let me know what I got myself into.

Hey Kevin & Cliff, I'm thinking about getting the AA model 31615 (110+12v). Do you have the "Shark" blade? Mac, Yes, that is what they are called and they work great! I got 4 a while back that were on sale for 3 bucks a piece!
I'm always in a good mood when I'm fishing. Kevin Kubiak Lakes Somerville and Granger, crappie guide 512-848-4469 www.hotcrappie.compro staff; proanglertackle.com

I like Rapala. I tried Mister Twister and AA and I did not like them. The Rapala was a nice fit to my hand and the blade bends nicely and contours to the shape of the fish. They run about $50 though.

I have several older Rapala traditional fixed blade fillet knives that served me very well when I fished Saltwater almost exclusively but then discovered Dexter-Russell and switched to them a long time ago for that environment. BPS stopped carrying Dexter this year and Academy carries a new version ( soft grey handle) I have never seen before. I have always used the white handled (food service) ones that I saw the deck hands using on the charter boats. They have one for every need and their sharpening tool is the best I have ever seen. They are just very hard to find retail. http://www.dexter-russell.com/2008/Search_form_result.asp?type=cat&search=10

Been running A Mister Twister ( the low-cost green and yellow one) for years, and it has never let me down. My experience is that blades ( how sharp they are) are the limiting factor, not the power of the motor.
