First thing they are going to ask when you stand up to speak is your address nit your not a resident of the city of Tyler you might as well hold your tounge. This experience is from other city meeting and I'm sure it holds true for lake tyler issues as well. I assure you if Richard Ott says it needs to be sprayed it will be sprayed. With that being said a show of numbers is always beneficial to make a statement to any council meeting, regardless of your address

Yes that is what it looks like on the map. I am going to try to send you the map as an attachement to your email address.

For someone that works for the TPWD as a fisheries expert, OTT is without a doubt the biggest fish killer to hold that position in the state. He ranks right along side the guy that ruined Conroe the first time. He played a big role in ruining lake Jacksonville. I guess lake Tyler is next on his list. There is no reason to spray Tyler now, there is no grass growing on the surface at all. The lake is low, when it comes up the grass will be hurt anyway. Mother nature will take care of it on her on.

Its all about money now. The rich and famous on Lake Tyler East get what they want. And the residents of Tyler have to pay, what a shame.

It is better to keep your mouth shut and remain a thought fool than to open it and remove all doubt. Come on silly fish open your mouth and I will remove all doubt!

I agree that Mother Nature will take of it. They need to stop this foolish waste of money and use tax payers money for more worthwhile projects.

Bluetick, your are 100% right about Ott. He absolutely dimishes lakes. Every lake that has had the grass killed and the fishing had gone down hill has been one he recommended. He must hate bass fishermen.

I really wish they would leave well enough alone, but obviously they're not going to!

i believe if you present it in a way that says they are killing NATIVE plants and veggetation and approach it from a conservation stand point, you might have a better chance... i don't think anyone but us fishermen cares whether we catch fish out there, but the politically correct thing to do is scream like a tree hugger would. gotta change the mind set from nuisance plant to native plant.

I don't understand what the heck they are spraying. I haven't fished every acre of the lakes, but as far as I know there is no where that there is enough grass to bother any swimmer or boater or skier or home owner. I wonder if Ott and Morgan are getting a little cut from the sprayer?

The owners of the land next to the lake have political pull and they have it sprayed to make it look nice - hydrilla is ugly - a question - why if you own land next to the lake can you controll the tax payer owned lake ? - they do at Conroe -answer to question - political contribution $$$
