The lake is dropping pretty fast. Jardell Creek still looks good and has water...for now. You can walk from Rocky Creek park to the entrance and the water will just get over your waist.
Huge compilation of vehicles and folks over at Welsh Park. Looks like a big party/concert.

They had tractor pulls there from what I heard...The Yegua at Irwin Bridge/WMA has dropped ALOT over the past week...We need rain bad. Hogs are everywhere right now. So if you do get out towards Irwin Bridge watch out!

Howdy guys!
First post here. I'm a student at Texas A&M and like to do a little fishing in my free time. I've hit up the little ponds around College Station, but the stuff is just too small to get me excited about fishing there. Took at trip to Somerville on Saturday morning. I didn't know much, so we went to Nails and walked around the bank. It was extremely low and shallow. Didn't get a single bite over 4 hours. It was very disappointing.
I don't have a boat, so bank fishing is my only option. Any tips where to go?

Go grab some Sausages this wkend. at Welch. They groomed out a a tiny race track for go carts. Even will have night racing there. Those super quick 10-12ft race jet boats are there as well. They are set up by the ramp. Be carefull, they were making some of there runs between the No-wake zone buoys and the shore. Left my depth-finder at home but we managed to catch a few WB by the dam and a few by Rocky. Mainly was out to grab some cats on jug-lines. Saw a few boats there using jet-divers and jig trailer catching fish. Almost time for the the Hellbenders to come out. Hate dragging those things through the water. Most of the fight reeling in is with the lure vs. the fish.
