Times like this i LOVE my 17ft. tracker.....all day on 16 gallons!!!!!  I don't burn 16 GALS in a day in MY 21' Triton running all over Hubbard Creek

It's disgusting. I have had to limit my fishing, and definately go to the closest water I have available. Might have to get into tubing , or kayaking...I've been wanting to anyway.

I have never burnt 16 gallons in a day. Usually about 3-5 depending...I usually drive alot..

I think I would have quit fishing if I hadn't moved to the lake theres no way I could possibly afford gas in the boat and the truck.

Couple other things I quit doing is re-spooling my line as often and I no longer go out and buy baits I know I want throw just buy what I have confidence in.

Radio today mentioned 6 dollars a gallon by summer, they are blaming it on the rebuilding of Japan now.

I agree, just stay home. The fishing at Choke has been poor. I will let everyone know when it picks up again.
Just spend more time on the trolling motor and less time running the lake - you will catch more fish!!

Funny, the laws of supply and demand appear not to apply. Domestic demand is down, yet prices continually climb. Does anyone else smell market manipulation?

my trolling motors seem to work more than it did a 225 a gallon so when the government finds out I'm running big motor less the will taxes battery usage .8}

The US is not the only source of demoand for oil/gas. Just because we are using a little less doesn't necesarrily mean the price will change quickly.
Having said that, "yes" the market is actively manipulated consistently.

What I don't get was in 2008 oil went to $147 a barrel, and gas was $4.20 a gallon. Oil is now $112 a barrel, and 4.20 a gallon.
Seems like funny math to me. Imagine when oil reaches 147 a barrel again this time.
Only thing I can figure out is inflation and the crashing dollar.
