most likely she is getting older therefore dropping in weight some. Eggs i wouldnt imagine put on over a pound difference but in a fish that big it is possible. Either way a very very nice fish.

Easily put a pound on that fish. I have heard numbers from 8-15% fluctuation prespawn vs. post spawn.

Beautiful fish either way, 16lbs or just under 15. Grats to both anglers and Texas Parks and Wildlife. Second story this year of fish taking a trip to Athens and returning back to the lakes alive and RECAPTURED a second time. If that doesn't speak volumes for the program if for nothing more than educating anglers on fish care I don't know what does.

She just liked it so much in athens she wanted to go back before ivie goes dry.

The state record fish from fork was 18+lbs and if my memory is right i think that fish was ony 7 or 8 years old.
