Faron McCain of Sweetwater caught Toyota ShareLunker 523 from O.H. Ivie yesterday. It weighed 14.94 pounds. Due to a clerical error there was some initial confusion about the PIT tag number, but when we got back to TFFC we were able to verify that the fish is the same as ShareLunker 503 caught last season by Jerry Bales, when it weighed 16.08 pounds and was the new lake record.

thats really cool! i wonder why the wieght difference? was she full of eggs when originally caught, and empty this year? congrats on the toad.

I would love to know why she droped so much weight. And futhermore why she didnt gain a couple more pounds.

i remember seeing where age will affect the wieght of a fish as well. the older they get, the less they pack on. like a curve. thier peak age and weight will be the highest point in the curve. it would be neat to know her age.

Wow, great fish. Good to see she is in good health a year later.

She may have just spawned, or last year she may have just ate a sandbass.... you never know. She is still big.

A lot of times fish that size have topped out in weight somewhat.
