frankford and tollway has some massive Pacu and grasscarp in it seen some nice bass but I wasn't targeting them.
the one on keller springs used to be decent allot of the fish died when they started construction on the old folks home over there.

Anyone ever fished this pond at Frankford & the North Dallas Tollway? Took my sons there last Friday night at dusk and we were catching sunfish (some quite large and feisty) on every cast using lunch meat. Great place for kids. Crimped the barb on the hooks with some pliers because those larger sunfish were swallowing the hook deeply. Older son caught a dinky LMB. Saw another fisherman hook one that was 3-4 lbs but it spit the hook before he could get it ashore. Definitely a convenient spot. Beware, one of the elder neighbors, Claudette, is likely to approach and lecture about trash injuring the birds. We always clean up and stay away from trees, which is where most lines get snagged.

Twin lakes has huge bass in it, I have fished it for quite a few years. I have personally caught a bass just over 10 1/2 lbs and several in the 7-9 range. I was out their once when they were treating/shocking the tank and they pulled out a 13 lb bass. I was told by the people that the largest they shocked was 14. It does get pressure and the water is farily clear, so it can be tough. I have always done well on the north side. Throw a worm right up against the drain and hold on, there are some monsters right there. It's a great summer night fishing spot, no pressure. They did dredge it about 5 years ago due to leafs and sludge taking over. Plenty of people in that neighborhood have stocked it with their own catch from other lakes. About a month ago I was fishing and talking to guy who put 10 bass ( some nice ones )from lake Fork in their on his way back to the house.

The weekends on the Twin lakes ponds are busy. Right now they are very cloudy. You definitely want to go weedless or you'll spend half your time pulling junk of your bait.
I always tell people keeping fish about the trash I've pulled out, i.e. diapers, condoms, etc. They normally put them back after that.

There are some good bass in these lakes, but I think the quantity and size are grossly exaggerated.

I have caught large fish out of all the ponds that are accessible in this map. Some are on Frito Lay property and you can fish. The one off of Tennison is still open I think..

I work next door and see signs all over the place not to fish.

Richland College has a lot of bass in it anywhere from 1-5lbs. I've gone there and not caught a thing, but gone there and caught 4-5 fish in a night as well. Guess it just depends on the time of year / bait you're throwing.

Anyone ever fished these ponds in Carrollton? I did once with no luck, but I was only there for like 30 minutes I grew up in Carrollton. The pond closer to Josey was an old brick pit and was also part of the Josey Rancho. It had some great fish in it, but they drained it when the Senior Center was built. So, I can't tell you what was put back in there. The cement pond goes through phases, but I couldn't tell you what it's like now. I've had years where I caught nice bass, lots of catfish, and my two largest crappie ever there. My dad's largest bass was caught there 15yrs ago. I also caught carp there. The creek behind there may be worth a try. My largest bass was in that creek, but of course, they messed with the creek for erosion control, so I don't know where the fish are now. I'd say close to bridge at train tracks or at Ryan Rd., or across Josey...behind frisbee golf course.

I am looking for a pond or ponds that are in the area around Plano, frisco, and surrounding cities to fish at without problems. I am a polite individual and do not cause trouble. I don;t makle a mess when I got to a pond. I just LOVE to fish for BASS and the only ponds the I have now are being trashed by people who also go there, get drunk and throw their trash into the pond. The fishing in these ponds has died off drastically and I;m getting depressed. I need ya'lls help. please throw out any info that you have. I will also pay for someone to let me fish in their tank. I will drive a good distance to go fishing. Thanks. Follow the Dallas Fly Fishers on facebook or at their site Dallas Fly Fishers website. They fish almost every Friday, urban waters. If you can't get off on Friday, you can check to see how the fishing was and hit the spot on Saturday.
