Dang it, now y'all know how I got the info to catch fish I posted( guilty as charged)... Heheheheh
Let just said I have some love from TFF and probably lots of hate, but I got used to it over time. 90% of the time, I tried to ignore the question/pm as if I couldn't read English...
After all, I always have the "Me? No English!" to fall back on, and you can't blame me for it.... Really, can ya?

A little on topic(off topic?) note here...Jigum put a private jig tieng seminar(?) on for me one time...He didn't know me from Adam..I will always be in his debt...Don't mean to be trying to hijack this topic so excuse me if I am in error....GO JIGUM !!! Matthew, has been very helpful to me, when I was setting up my 898SI. I was just dog'n him a little. Don't have the time or interest in Tieing my own jigs. I saw him tie a couple when I was visiting him. He can tie mine. Keith

so i guess GPS coordinates are out of the question? I agree with Steve. I have a few friends that I share spots with but it is a 2 way street. They give me a few locations and I give back. I have received more than I gave but it is building time again so I may catch up some. Generally lake, depth, and sometimes color in a report is enough info for me to find them. Then time on the water is my friend. I thought we be friends...

Well said Steve, well said... Thanks for venting. Jigum Matthew, Would you personally put on a ( FREE) Private Jig Tieing Seminar just for me. I am looking into buying that house next door to you, opening a Shop and go into the Jig Tieing Business. I hear the Jig Business is BOOMING. Just PM me with the earliest we can start classes ! ! ! Keith Matthew probably would, He invited me and leanin post up for a day of fishing and then took us to the jig room and gave us a great lesson on tying jigs. Some people are confident enough in what they do for a living they dont mind showing people how they do it because their product is so good it is going to sell anyway. And Jigum is one of those guys. I'm with ya, if you spend ANY time on a lake, it is had for me to understand how you CAN'T have several fishing spots. We fished the Tourney at Cypress a couple weeks ago, and had never been on that lake. We only weighted 6 fish. Done a lot of looking, and proabaly have 25+ locations to fish. If they have another Tourney next year we will at least have a starting spot. But saying that, that was 3-4 hours. Our (2) home lakes, maybe 75-100 on each. We have just been crappie fishing for a year. Also, we are not chasing crappie to unknown lakes, just because someone POST a pic, and says it HOT on lake SUCH-N-SUCH. If their catching them there, I can catch them on the lake I know best. We do have a FEW buddies we share info with, that we have met here. We sink piles together, and work together to be better fisherman. Depth, Temp, Color of Bait, Type of Cover... If a guy can't take that info and catch crappie it is hard for me to understand. We don't catch a bunch of Limits, but after 1 Year, we are getting better. we read what the Guides & Experianced Crappie Angler write and say, then we go and put the info in play. Keith Pay Attention, Do Your Homework, Put In Some Time. You do these things, and you won't need someone elae's GPS Coord's.

Two years ago I couldn't buy a crappie, but after joining CAT, attending the meetings, going on guide trips with Cliff Spindle TWICE, Ernest TWICE, Paul O"Bier once and spending $$$ I can now say I'm a Crappie Fishermen. You have to put time and effort to be successful in anything you set out to do. I have a few guys I share waypoints and information, but it's a team effort.

I don't ever expect anyone to tell me WHERE they caught their fish, and I would never get huffy over anything. That said, I do post threads sometimes because I need a lot of help. I just moved down here and while I don't mind putting in the work, a little help isn't too much to ask sometimes. By help I mean, what time of year do you generally fish certain depths? What kinds of baits are better in the spring versus the fall? In the winter do you fish deep or shallow?
These aren't going to far right? If so, then I need to know because I ask these questions often in threads. But I have never PM'd anyone out of the blue, ever.

HAHA jk, it is absolutely more gratifying when you find em yourself, and you should be grateful to the guys who will help out at all. im a greedy SOB and i wont give up more than the body of water i caught em in hahaha

Jake, the info you are asking about is perfectly acceptable. That information is shared gladly by almost everyone on the forum. Joining the TFF has helped me become a better crappie fisherman more than I can ever say. Plus it has allowed me to meet some great folks, in fact the forum is where I met John Holland, who has not only become my main fishing partner but also a very good friend. There are several more regulars on this forum that I count as friends that I would have never me any other way. So just keep on asking those question, the more your seen around here the more answers you will get. Plus look at Joining C.A.T., most of the clubs members frequent this forum. Great way to meet folks. Steve

I can now tie a respectable jig. things like that make a big impression on folks. his bright white and green JIGUM JIGS sticker is going to really stand out on my bright red boat, and I will send MANY customers his way.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I enjoy all the Cypress Springs reports sending every potlicker that lurks on here to the only bridge on the lake. Find a group of guys you can trust to share info with and everybody else can just deal with it. Been bit too many times. Pretty soon people will be posting pictures of certain docks and giving directions to it.

There is only 3 reasons I can think of that people post pics of thier catch on here.. 1.. TO BRAG, and try and gain some sort of noteriety, so that in certain circles, they will gain some sort of respect and admiration.. 2. to inspire others, to let others know, that there are fish to be caught, they are biting, at least somewhere, and as a way of letting others know ,, if they sucked that day, or if the bite was just off.. And 3,, to PROFIT.. by either teasing and enticing others to hire them, or to try and gain sponsorship from companies .., ect, ect. to each his own, this is still a free country. do as you will, but dont try and project an image that you are doing something to gain respect and be helpful, when that is not really your intention, . The folk who are trying to be helpful usually post some helpful info along with thier pics.. if you arent a good enough fisherman to find fish in various conditions, locations, and different times of the year, maybe you should be out trying to learn more, instead of posting pics and bragging, and worrying abt potlickers and feeling insulted because a novice asked for help.
