I know this has been a topic before but it never ceases to amaze me the audacity of some people. I am all for helping TFF's catch more crappie just as I have been helped. But when someone you never heard of pm's you wanting to know the"exact location" of where you caught your fish and then gets huffy when won't tell them really ticks me off.

Most of the memebers here are very good about naming the lake,depth caught, type of structure, and bait used. That kinda of info can really help someone catch some fish. But somewhere a man should be able to draw the line. The folks on here that consistantly have success have all put a lot of time & money(fuel,electronics,guides)into making themselves succesful. Where is it written the we have an obligation to "share" everything we know? Sounds a whole lot like the platform of our current President(the 'haves' should give to the 'have nots'). If you want to catch fish then put in your time on the water. Trust me folks a nice livewell full of crappie is a lot more gratifing when you found em all on your own.

Steve it's a double edged sword. You can't post the pics of your great catches without a few wanting to know where they were caught. Take it is as a complement, and tell them you get em in the water.

You are probably right Brain, and I don't mind sharing general info and sometimes even more. But the part that gets me is when they get p-ssed when you won't tell all.

I agree with Steve. I have a few friends that I share spots with but it is a 2 way street. They give me a few locations and I give back. I have received more than I gave but it is building time again so I may catch up some.

Generally lake, depth, and sometimes color in a report is enough info for me to find them. Then time on the water is my friend.

You can put peole like that right on the fish and most of the time they couldnt catch them anyway.

one thing i never really understand is, why do people always wants to see picture, i used to post reports on another website, but people there always wants picture (why? never seen a fish before? never seen a limit of fish before?) and when the pic is posted, some will think its photoshoped, sigh....

Just buy the house next to him and set up secret surveillance.

I wouldn't mind having a house next to my old buddy Matt. Maybe he'd take me fishin' every once in a while.

Ok now a word from the dark side.
As I am new to Texas and looking for fishing "spots" and this place has been very helpful in this task. I would not have found half the spots that I like to fish with out this place.

But one thing that ticks me off is a posted photo of a catch and wont even tell you the name of the water they got them from?
Why even post the photo then?
Now I for one wont PM someone for a location I figure that they would post it if they want to give it away.
