You fellas did better than I did. Fished the coves on the SE side 1st thing, only caught 6 but 1 was a sandy. So with a sandy in the live well I decided to fish south of the island and catch some more. Got there about 1, fished till almost 3 and nuthin! Found 'em on the screen but they weren't hungry for what I was feedin 'em. I was just happy the wind wasn't blowing 30 mph!

We ended up with about 40ish. Most of them small, maybe could've keep 10 or so. Caught them all around a hump 21'-24' seem to work for us. Marked A LOT of fish and didn't have any problems staying on top of them either but getting them to bite was hard work. With the fish I marked we should have caught 100+.

If we don't get any rain soon I might have to start driving an extra few miles and pay $5 to launch out of Lauderdales. Just FYI, watch out for them suckers.

It's $15 at Lauderdales. $10 at West Bay.

+1 We were fishing beside Thunderbolt. Marked a ton of fish but the bite was slower than what I would have expected. Tons of dinks with a nice one every fifth fish or so. Still a good day with to put the wife and daughter on a few fish.

Due to lack of time did not check a ton of spots, but I did check a couple of spots that had been producing last week and found nothing.

Darned if you do Darned if you don't. You will either spend the money there or spend the money in gas and time to go somewhere else. The problem is it is not a corp. or state park lake, so there are only a couple of public ramps and those are not very good. I paid $250 for an annual pass on the east side. I could get one a lot cheaper on the west side but by the time I drive overthere and added gas cost it is not worth it for me.

What is getting me is these places are now starting to charge for other cars.

Thats a solid copy. What do you mean charge for other cars? Just for other people without boats to park there?
