Before I became a full time guide, I really had no idea how much work and determination goes into being able to catch fish on a daily basis. If we aren't able to constantly produce fish for our clients, we can't pay our bills and take care of our famalies. We're not trying to be secretive, or "milk" the situation for money, but we do have to ensure the financial security of our employees. Our days start around 4:30 or 5, and usually end around 7:30 or 8, which leaves us tired and ready to see the important people in our lifes, and doesn't allow much time for communicating on the forum. Chuck, Jason, and I are going to help everyone as much as possible in their pursuit of success; but we must also protect our investments in the meantime. Any guide will tell you, ecspecially one that has no other job like me and Chuck, that there is an immense amount of pressure that goes along with this job, and unfortunately that entails not sharing very detail laden information with the general public. Fishing is one of the most rewarding and cherishable activities that the good Lord gave us, and we are very blessed to have this line of work; it is still work though, and we have to do what we can in order to be successful and contributing members of this society. That's exactly how I would look at it too. When I see a guide with a trip and they are in the same area, I usually leave the area to them. They are making a living and have paying customers. I am out for pleasure and lakes are big enough for everyone.

Original question was: Was wondering has any 1 tried there if so are they doing any good Chuck and Jason answered the question that was asked. I didn't see any request from remy for GPS coordinates, depths, jigs/minnows, structure type or water temps. If you want more info then ask. You won't get the coords but most likely will get the answer to the other questions. Guides work hard to build, sink and locate structure as well as find fish. I would not give out the GPS coordinates to the the stuff I have sunk or any of the things I have found. No need to apoligize Chuck/Jason/Lane. You did nothing wrong.
Keep on fishing.

lots of people have been asking for basic info on cedar creek, and none of the guides try to help, Jason or chuck, just advertise, and now that some people have gave tips on the location and depth the fish are biting, the guide decides to reply now, , being the info has been put out already. all people were asking for was if they were shallow or not, and no info was given. Granted, as guides they dont owe the general public a damn thing, but dont get on here after the fact, and act like your trying to help, because that just isnt the case. Most of the fish are being caught shallow on the Tool side of the lake, you should feel right at home there. No!! Their biting on the south end,,from enchanted isle to crappie isle.. BTW,I built my house in Tool from scrap material left over from a few homes on the private road in Enchanted Isle

This has gone way off the deep end..lol. I think the guy just took chucks orig post the wrong way or something. Or like someone sd maybe he's had a bad experience of some kind. I too have felt snubbed by some on here in the past, not the people in question by any means..infact chuck has helped me over the phn in the past, and I've fixed some of his electronics. But I think I understand part of where he's coming from..not that I agree in this case particularly. Now...that said I don't see the need in 2/3 pages of fighting back and insulting him back cus he sd what he thought, this forum just isn't about all that..or shouldn't be anyway. Its nice to have friends come to your defense, but sometimes ppl will just jump on the wagon and get into an argument they don't really belong in for the sake of argument. I just wish we cld all stick to helping one another out when needed and leave the drama where it belongs. Good luck to all

It seems like the crappie forum always has someone coming in and asking for information and when they get the basics, depth, color, and so on they start complaining that no one has given them enough information. Seems to happen at least a couple of times a month and gets worse when people think that the fish are in the creeks or spawning.
Chuck and the other guides on here do this to make money. I can't blame them if they're not posting coords or other specific information on an open forum just so someone else can go hit their spots. They'll point you the right direction but you'll have to find your own way.
Keith and the other guys on here (me included) aren't just throwing that info out either. In Keith's case he's spent time and money sinking brush and in my case I've spent time and money locating brush and other structure by idling around and burning gas. In other words we've done it the old fashioned way and earned it. Put in YOUR time on the water and you'll earn yours too. +1

I have the hardest time wrapping my mind around why folks come out and say certain things (and the way they say it) on a public forum. There is a Private Message option for things like that. Saw chuck out there today...catching fish as usual. We were too. Fish are shallow just like they should be.

If all of this helps remy and others, go out and catch some fish,, then it was worth it.. I dont know Remy, and I have no personal indiferences with any of the guides on here, It is just hard to stand by, and watch people asking, for info, and nobody tries to help them. take it how you want to, but I will say, my only intention was to try and help out a fellow fisherman, and if that is wrong, that I will wear that hat. I personally wouldnt give out Gps coordinates , unless it was a friend who I traded them with.. but it isnt giving out too much to just say,... hey you might check the bridge, or you might check the deeper docks , or creeks with cats tails living in them.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
