I will post some photos from Blake and I's herping trip today. Blake (my son) predicts our first species to be Crotalus atrox. Safe bet considering we will be 200 miles west of the metroplex. I will post photos as we find various species throughout the day. We should be on location in nearly an hour. Of course I will be submitting posts via phone.
To you guys interested in following the thread, would you like me to just submit photos without identifying the species to see who can make IDs first or go ahead and include the ID with the photos?

Interesting. I've never intentionally gone herping, but if I did and took pics of my results, rest assured everyone would have to try to ID a headless snake.

Great Pics! Awesome way to spend the day and with the kids at that! I can't tell you how many days we spent in the Everglades "and any other spot with critters" looking for snakes when I was a kid.
That Scarlet King; if im not mistaken, is a nice one! Great Find...
