I live about an hour and a half from Grandbury. Where exactly is the Tin Top. I would like to head that way when the run starts.

I think you take Hwy 4 north toward Lipan and take a right at FM 2580 and keep going a ways till you come to the bridge.
**This is if you're coming from Granbury**

I didn't know there was even a way to get to HSB by land. Assumed it was all private around here. I might be willing to drag my kayak on its wheels for a ways, vs putting in somewhere else and paddling a long way. Just don't really know where to go. I fished HSB only once several yrs ago. Were in a boat, put in at Old Dennis Rd and motored to HSB. Is there a place tp park in the vicinity of HSB?

probably at least 2 miles from TT up to the bend... real shallow water (less than 2 ft, maybe less than 1)as you approach the bend before it gets deep in the bend. I've never gotten into the deep water part in the bend. I get to the shallow sand part and don't want to chance getting the boat stuck.
In space, nobody can hear you scream for ice cream.

HSB is a private area. I think you have to own land there.

I dragged my yak down there last week. Its not an easy trek. Had to rest a couple times on the way back. I have a light kayak btw. I would not recommend trying it with a heavy/sit on top yak.

Went to HSB this morning in my yak. Caught 6 males around ten inches on the upper end of the bend. About a half mile down river from the beach. All caught on a 2 inch white sassy shad.

The algae bloom has killed alot of fish on Granbury and is heading toward Whitney via the brazos river. Very sad. Check the thread in the open fishing forum.
