ok now i am rested

i thought it was unusual, to not catch quality sandies. once the buds that flower come out, the run is pretty much on full boar. he kept small males, that we would normally throw back. we fished the same way we have for 20 plus years, same bait, every type of retrieve & it was slow.

about 7:30 it started to sleet, thats better than rain i guess.
just a strange day

I fished brazos point march 5th near glenrose and only caught a couple of sandies. I was throwing a sweedish pimple, I caught lots of large mouth though.... I would like to find the sandies though so I could take my daughters and keep them interested...

I fished Friday above Granbury. Ended up catching 17 sandies.....all small males. I did not catch more than 2-3 fish in any one spot. They are very scattered right now.

If it actually rains and we get some good flow I bet it will be on this weekend!

We fished around Tin Top Sat, and caught 25 trolling. They were all small males as well. They were all in the same 300 yard stretch.

Jeff, that just shows how scattered they are.....I caught fish from halfway upriver to Horseshoe Bend all the way past HB.

I haven't caught a fish close to Tin Top in over 2 weeks!

Yea, we were actually at HSB when we got into them. Nothing from the old TXI conveyor all the way to HSB.

How far is it from Tin Top to HSB? Or is there a close place to put in to get to HSB?

when the run starts, you can put in almost anywhere & catch fish
i would launch at Tin Top
at HSB you have to haul your equipment from at least 150 yards & half of that is through deep sand

i dont know how far via River it is from HSB, to Tin Top
i would like to though

Tin Top to HSB is longer than I would want to paddle a yak!

I'll probably fish this evening and give a report tonight or in the morning!

probably at least 2 miles from TT up to the bend... real shallow water (less than 2 ft, maybe less than 1)as you approach the bend before it gets deep in the bend.

I don't live for the thump, but I sure do like it.
