Headed that way and just curious.....are the other outlets/pumps in your county also ethanol free, and if not, why are you able to offer ethanol free?

And what is today's $/gal for regular grade at LFM? Thx

We don't jack up prices on gas already in the ground that we paid less for. Until today it was 3.389 a gallon, now it is 3.609. Down on the water it is 3.589 (different load), gas on the water is usually 20 cents higher due to tax.

A lot of places have non ethanol here, only one I know for sure that has it 100% of the time is fishermans one stop. Several places do non ethanol in the spring, then when the number of fisherman decline go back.

If you know of any place that has it post it, I only fill up at the marina so I don't really keep in touch.

Thanks for reply. I was unsure if Alba TX and Wood County had yet been forced over to only ethanol blends. Should be very soon.

A lot of Texas places I visit claim to be non-ethanol ,but when I test it at their pumps, they usually actually have 10% ethanol same as down the street. Usually the station operators don't really know they have it in their gas, but are telling people they don't have ethanol.

I'll stop at LFM and Fishermans 1-Stop and measure their automobile pumps for ethanol next time I visit and post what I find.

Bassin.....All stations in Abilene surely are unleaded same as every other station in Texas. This topic is discussion of ethanol content which in most Texas areas is now required for automobile use to contain 10 percent ethanol. It is not determined by the station brand /ownerin areas that are required to sell only ethanol blended automobile fuels.

That's what I ment by unleaded was non ethonal. I know of two shell station here that have signs posted that say non ethonal has sold here. I use it and so do two other buddies of mine.

I was informed all stations in the Abilene area were required by law to switch to sell only ethanol fuels several months ago ....about the same time Bryan/College station and many similar sized areas were also forced .

How do you know it is bogus? It looks to be a "public service" type site where it asks to add if you know of one not on the list, and delete if you know it's not true.

Problem is that while perhaps the well intentioned website owner meant good originally, he does no regulation and checking on the many erroneous postings to the site nor do the internet posters or the many unknowing readers.

It is easy to test for ethanol content each time before filling up and having watched the site for a long time and traveled through out much the state testing many locations, it becomes quickly obvious the postings on that web-site, at least for Texas, are not reliable.

Some areas in Texas (mostly now rural) have not yet been required to convert to ethanol blended fuels. The initial Texas plan I understand was to have all automobile fuel distributions fully converted by 2022 but Texas increasingly has had to meet changing overall ethanol % federal mandates on a lenghthy implementation timeline. The 2022 schedule plan is being continuously adjusted as it is being affected by planned E-85 and possibly now E-15 planned phase-in distributions.
