Anyone? I was thinking of booking Captain Chad Verburgt out of rockport, because he has very reasonable rates. ($300 1/2 day) Anybody have any experience with him?

I would certainly recommend using Green Hornet Guide Service out of Rockport. Either Petra or Don Schultz are the best in the business.

Tom Redden has an "attitude" but he can fnd the fish, used to win the Tom Nix Guides cup with Jay Watkins in the late 90's before he moved to Houston and went to work in the cement biz.
Don and Petra are not called " fat and sassy" for nothing, they do cut people off and run to close to waders but they are the worst at NOT returning phone calls.

Good Info guys! I am not booking either of them because I can't afford it! Either they don't offer half day trips, or they are something crazy like $500. Still waiting to hear back from a couple other fella's. Hopefully i'll get a trip booked!

I know a guy out of port o conner if your interested. I have his number. Hes a very nice guy and very family oriented. He's a good friend of mine.

$500 for up to three people, bait fishing is pretty standard in teh Rockport/Aransas area, seems like you got to nickel and dime to get a 450 trip. For some reason, I think the cost of bait, saltwater guides are more expensive than freshwater.

I've seen quite a few guys with half day trips for 300-350. Only problem is they are booked already! Im trying to talk my girlfriend into just booking one of them on the 20th (the day we have to leave) and just not showering for the ride home! I tell her "ya gotta do, what ya gotta do".. don't be high maintenance!  thanks for all the leads fellas
