I have been using stren fluorocast since tacklewarehouse started caring it and I have had no issues with it. I use to use invisix but just couldn't shell out the cash anymore. I use mostly 12, 15, and 17 for pretty much any application and don't notice a difference in missed fish over invisix

I've tried ALOT of flouro and I always go back to Seagaur! Most of the other brands are ok until you stretch them..... then its heart BREAK time. Most of the time when I get hung up on 20# I can straighten out a 5 ought hook! Good enough for me:)

I have been using the Sten Floro Cast for 3 months now. I don't have any problems with it. I fish in HEAVY cover on Squaw Creek and it works fine for me.

Are you sure it was the Stren 100% fluorocarbon? You said it was $11 bucks, last time I checked it was a little over $20.
XPS and PLine are my favorites.

I sure miss Carbon Pro, but the Cajun fluoro has proven bullet-proof for me. It's tough stuff and priced well.

I just wanted to add my experience for Maxima. I have been using the ultra green for years in east texas and for me I just don't want to use anything else. Smaller diameter than most lines at the same rating and you just can't break the stuff in any situation. I have gone to their Fluorocarbon on several of my reels and I am having the same great quality and performance I have come to expect. I just fished falcon for 4 days at the end of Jan. Most of the big fish we caught came out of the thick stuff where you might have to give them line to free themselves and then try to haul them through over and over. I never broke a fish off. I was using the 20lb but still haven't broke off on 15lb either. As far as price it's the same as or just a dollar to two cheaper than invisx.

Well I went at lunch to verify for sure it was the Stren 100% Fluoro, and it was indeed the Fluorocast.
Guess I got confused since it says 100% Fluorocarbon on the top corner of the box, but it was the Fluorcast.
The spool I got was junk.

I had the 17 stren flourocast-----lost 6 shaky heads and gave it up.....went with 15 lb red label invex and red label 20 lb on the another...costed me $$. No success.
