Man I,d call the insurence company and get an estimate from classic fiberglas, I seen a skeeter do this and they took it back to manufactor took topcap off turned it over and redid the bottom.good luck though.

CWright, you da' man! I own a 2010 Z-7 that I'll make you guys a good deal on.

I haven't had any issues with mine to date. But,if I was in the market for a new boat this would impact my decision making. I was going to head over to BPS tonight and pick up a few things. I think I'll head over to Academy instead.

Guys (and gals), I cannot believe the responses I have received on this. This really shows how fishermen watch out for each other. I will contact Katie at Bass Pro above as requested.

I think emotion really takes hold when you think how much money was spent on this boat and then seeing the pictures. But still, 3 owners in 3 years then the boat falls apart on the 3rd owner shortly after buying it. If I buy a 2 year old Mustang from a 90 year old Grandma and the tranny goes out in it the week after I buy it because of the way her grand child drove it on Saturday nights do I blame Ford? I do hope that Tracker comes up with something that the current owner can live with, but I think he is at the mercy of Tracker and I can't say I put any blame on them from what I know now. And unless there was hard proof that this was caused by the way it was built, he wouldn't want me an a jury deciding who was at fault. And I know I am in the minority in that. But taking emotion out of this, logically following this, it doesn't add up for me.

Matt, we might not tell each other where we fished or what we caught them on, but I think we all feel like we are all in the same proverbial boat when it comes to things like this. Most of us spend a ton of time and what resources we have to be on the water. This is one of those "fight or flight" moments. I just don't think they realized how many people feel the same way. When it comes down to it, it's the right thing to do.

Mr. Scogin,
Sorry to see this. I will be watching to see if Tracker decides it's worth it to keep all current Nitro owners, that are trying to sell their used Nitro's, happy and willing to rebuy another new Nitro with the possibility of potential used buyers seeing this and ruling out buying a used Nitro.

Should they not make this right then you can be assured that you helped me to not make any future mistakes by buying a Nitro product.

I saw a Skeeter almost just like this one day. My guess was that he had hit something and opened up a pretty good crack. Then while riding around during the day the water pressure got under the glass just enough to peel off almost one whole side of the bottom. It was a section probably 3ft wide and about 7ft long. It looked almost as nasty as these pics. Sorry that happened to ya.

I don't think you are in the minority. Most just don't want to come on here and say it due to the unfortunate situation. However if the witch hunt continues I'm sure more will come out. By all these people coming out like this it has probably hurt more fisherman than it's helped at least for a little while. I really feel bad for the GOOD people out there with Good Nitro's that can't sell them at this moment cause people are in the potential buyers ear. It's not a good situation all around.

Matthew, Sorry to hear about your issue! I agree with most comments on this post that if Tracker wants to ignore the feelings and impressions of the fishing community then they are too stupid to be in the business!!!! Does not help you much but if Tracker ignores your isue they will self distruct very soon!

I was looking at the Z-9's online, this type of customer service is unacceptable. Sorry for your loss. I will assure that I will not be buying a nitro in the future and I will not be doing any business with BPS in the future.

I have seen the pictures. But the smoking gun to me is 3 owners in 3 years and the last owner takes her out shortly after buying and it falls apart. Go to McDonalds, dump hot coffee all over yourself, sue for 10 million. I know all he wants is what he paid for, that is all most of us want. My buddy and his Merc was before all these forums, he will never buy another Merc. His wasn't about the maker of the engine, nor that engine, it was about the previous owner. Didn't make him feel any better about it and I understand that. I truly hope it works out, I just haven't heard the information that leads me to blaming Nitro at this point. My guess is Nitro didn't either, and that is why the offer from them was what is was.

barf I'm a nitro owner, but not for long... wow... this is terrible. I've had problems with my hull as well, not to this extent, but problems none the less, I've been able to get insurance to fix mine in the past though. However, come August, I will be in a Ranger.
