The second owner did not ever transfer the warranty. Tracker wants you to send them the bill of sale so that they can see whether of not you are buying it from the original owner. This prevents a third owner from getting the warranty in the even that the second owner did not trnasfer it.
Anothe out that they have is that there warranty has to be transferred within 30 days to be valid.

I hate to hear something like this. I have to believe the boat had issues before this. I have heard of stress cracks allowing water in thus causing this sort of damage. Chances are this was the cause. This could happen to ANY boat. The real rub here is the fact they won't help you out. 1.) Imagine the good things everyone here would be saying vs actual if they had made it right given we know everything. 2.) They have done a great deal to increase the image and fan base of Nitro. I for one was drinking the kool-aide. 3) I have owned a Nitro in the past and before reading this would have not ruled it out in the future. 4) Do you think Bass Cat or Skeeter or (insert brand here) would walk away from an issue like this?
tracker keep this in mind.....people generally will tell 2-3 people about a good experience but will tell everyone they know about a bad one. Not making this right could have cost you more than you think! Not to mention, how many boats a year do you give away trying to improve your image? Not good....not good

Thats B.S. I guess the biggest problem is tracker not standing behind their products. Not all Nitros are bad boats but Tracker is horrible when it comes to customer service. I have noticed that and it means alot to me. For no other reason that would be why my next boat probably won't be a Nitro. Even though i love my Nitro Z8, I can't deal with crummy service.

I have heard about Tracker service like this from a friend of mine. He had a 929 and had some hull problems and they pretty much told him to stick it. Tracker keep putting him off and then he told them his lawyer would be in touch for a law suite. The ended up giving him a Z8. I have heard Tracker service sucks and I was really thinking anbout buying one but with service like that I think might go with Skeeter. Sorry to hear about your problem, those pictures are something else. Ya, I would really pursue this. Good Luck..
Thanks,

That is sad that they will not stand behind there product. I would talk to an attorney about this. I would also do as said above, take it to some of the big tournaments with a big sign on each side of the boat. Just drive it around and park it where every one could see it.

I would cut and paste every one of these responses to Tracker, BPS and anyone else remotely connected with the boat.

Go to New Orleans, pull the boat down there, and find KVD. Ask him if this is the product and customer service that he is putting his name on? Ask him if he can pull some strings to help get you fixed up. Let him know, fisherman to fisherman, how they are taking care of this, or lack thereof! Let him know how it has set you back, personally and professionally.
You never know what a face to face encounter can make happen!
Best of luck,
-Alton

Sorry to hear about that, Matt. Heard the story first hand from Jesse. Sucks X1000000000 that they won't take care of you. I'd be hunting a lawyer if I was you, and I sure won't be buying a Nitro.

Seems like i remember hearing something like this happening to KVD a couple of years back. I hope you do share this post with the bassboat central boards and others. I cant imagine any other manufactures not taking care of a defect like that. Did Tracker actually say it is a defect?

All Tracker said was that the boat was out of warranty. They did not elaborate on what might have caused it.

Even if the boat had hit something it should not come apart. There is something wrong with the fiberglass. Matt crawled under the boat before he bought it, I asked. He would have noticed a VW bug sized spot on the hull. Bottomline is they don't back their product. If the boat was 12 year old then ok tuff luck, but it is 3 years old. I have hit stumps in my Ranger and knocked little dings in the fiberglass but never have any separation occured. Nitro is the Kia of bass boats. I take that back that is an insult to Kia, I have never heard of 25% of them falling off going down the highway.

Matt, sorry to hear about your terrible situation with the Nitro Z9, hope you can find a resolution to this issue.
Can't believe how youre being screwed over!!!
I will never consider purchasing a Nitro boat, as I always wondered why their top end boats were priced significantly lower than the top-end brand names on the market.
