The only thing worse than a porta potty in the wintertime is a porta potty in the summertime.

Wow, those photos are amazing. I can't imagine what it would be like to be in your shoes. My dad had a delamination after hitting what he thought was submerged rebar from a duck bind, nowhere near as catastrophic as yours though. The owner of the company called him up when he heard of the accident and said "What accessories would you like on your free replacement rig, on us?" Amazing to hear examples of polar opposite customer service practices.

I am glad I was only going 50 mph when this happened. I cannot imagine what this would have done at 70 mph. It might have been really bad!

That is horrible. I have not heard too many positive things about Tracker boats but I hope you get a better resolution than what their offering. No fisherman should have to go through this.
Good luck,

I have a 2007 898 and just had it serviced. I'm the first owner and got the boat the middle of 2009. At the service dept. at BPS they told me my bunkers are dry rotting. I have less then 75 hours on it. They told me I only had a year warranty. You need to print all these post off and send it to tracker so they can see what other people think.

The dealer was:
Tracker Boat Center 14908 North Freeway, Houston, TX (281) 209-0900 ‎
They have been helpful, but they are at the mercy of Tracker Marine.

Gotta buddy looking at used Z-8's. I'll make sure he sees this thread. That sucks. Hope it works out for you. Sure worth pursuing further.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I also owned a Nitro and had the same problem. It was about 5 years ago and Tracker did not do anything to help me either. I am sure that I did not hit anything, but Tracker said otherwise.
I was running down the lake and I also lost speed. I immediately trailered the boat and saw the damage. I was on vacation about 8 hours from the house. I then went to the hotel and went to dinner with my wife. When we returned, there was a crowd around my boat. I went to see what was going on and one guy said my boat was on fire. A piece of the fiberglass hit the wires to power trim and they were arcing and caught on fire. I wish he had not put it out and let it burn.
I am going to see if I can find my pictures and any other info about my problem. If you end up in court I am more than willing to testify about having the same problem.
I hope this will also be a testimony to not by a Nitro.

I pity any one now trying to sell a newer Nitro. if you buy you have to be a 2nd owner and pay 100.00 to tranfer warranty.wonder if 2nd owner did on this one

I am sorry to see you had this problem. I have a Nitro also and I guess my biggest complaint would be customer service. Other than that the boat has been great.
