I look at it this way. If I use live bait or a jig,the fish that I catch had intentions of inflicting pain on another animal. So it is just karma working.

Let me start by saying I am and always will be proud to be an American, born and bred in Texas. Now to my rant: This is ridiculous, these are the same types of people that say we should not spank our children and then wonder why kids are so disrespectful and society is going to hell in a handbasket.. I am 32 and a pretty well functioning adult because when I got out of line my dad grabbed a belt, needless to say I got the point. If you don't like it, don't do it. Don't try to start some ridiculous campaign to stop the unfair treatment of fish. They were provided to mankind as a form of food, and there is not a way to "nicely" kill an animal. I have always fished and hunted according my grandfathers words "If you kill it, your going to eat it", I figure if I stick to that I am doin' alright. Sorry for the rant guys but this really chaps my a$$, take care ya'll....
He once caught his limit in the sahara desert, he once fried crappie using a lighter and a dixie cup. He is the most interesting crappie fisherman in the world. Stay thirsty my friends....

I had the chance to fish with David Hansen on Tawakoni last year (my dad kodyspapa) has been booking a family guided trip for our Christmas present, which is a great idea coincidentally - David would put poke his filet knife in the fish's brain, right between the eyes of the fish before filleting it. Said it killed them instantly. Not saying you should, just saying you could. Can't taste a difference either way.
it doesn't take talent to hustle

I've seen video of English fishermen using what they call a priest (big hardwood club) to deliver the last rites to the fish they intend to clean and eat. Not having a priest handy I generally go for my 24 oz. framing hammer. They settle down pretty good after that.
