Maybe it will get low enough so the City of Dallas can fix the Dalrock ramp.

So something has changed between now and then. It is not just 'normal' release.

I 'think' it had something to do with the Power Plant. Lavon used to have to fill Ray Hubbard, remember Lavon went 20 foot low during the drought but not Hubbard.. It wasn't more than a foot or two at that time. Last year/this year we've seen it 3 foot low.

During the 06/07 drought Lavon was releasing to keep Hubbard full. That is one reason Lavon got so low. We had a very low rainfall year this year. I would not call it a drought by no means but nothing like the last couple of years. Ray Roberts and Texoma got way more rain than Lavon/Hubbard area. Twok must be helping to keep Hubbard up since Lavon is not. Lavon gets a little from Texoma and I heard they also get water from Cooper.

This may be misinformation but it is what I think is happening.
cheers

lavon can get water from texoma if there were not these little things called zebra mussles and they have to pay alot for that water . we do get water from cooper if needed, water goes from fork to tawakoni then hubbard by pipeline

It doesn't have anything to do with the power plant. The plant does not use water but they recirculate the water back into the plant. They take the water in where the bouys are across the cove facing toward the east and put the heated water back in the canal that point kinda north towards the bridge.
The plant needs water to keep running so they would sure like to keep it full.

The city of Dallas gets water from RH, Tawakoni and Fork. The population in Dallas has grown substantially in the last 10 years, similar to the growth in the 80's. That is what's taking the water from the lakes. That and the fact that anything new built in Dallas county must have irrigation and landscaping to meet code. That is why they built the pipeline from Fork in the last 10 years. Fork never had much fluctuation until the last 6 or 7 years. That is when Dallas started getting water from Fork. If the pipeline from Fork wasn't built, RH and TWK would be 2 or 3 feet lower, and the water quality would not be as good. This happened about 12 years ago, when RH got much lower than it is now.

Well you see there was this group of scuba divers down by the dam a few years back, and there were Catfish the size of...........................You ready???????? Cadillac's.

From what I understand the Catfish the size of Cadillac's are in scheming with Aliens. Yes Aliens, and the Aliens are stealing the water with the help of the huge Catfish.

Before you say anything My cousin's best friends cousin knew one of the scuba divers Mother in laws best friend.

So virtually first hand information.
