Nice job. We've all been there or will be sooner or later.

awesome, Ive been there, and got left there buy a guy trying to sell a boat, he said it was against his companies policy to tow me in. He left me in the middle of Lake Lewisville. I vowed never to leave someone like that, its a bad feeling. Good job!

Last time I towed somebody in my boat overheated. Just something to think about.

Nice job! I've been on both ends of the tow rope. I've also been left in the middle of Fork by a guy (in a different brand of boat) that was heading to the same place I needed to go. His excuse was "Why don't you flag down one of those Skeeter boys. They'll probably give you a tow". Thankfully the next guys headed in the opposite direction turned around and pulled us back and would not accept any pay.

If we all do our part to help one another then our lakes and world will be a better place to live and fish!

I offered to pay and they flatly refused...telling me "been there, done that...needed a tow myself once or twice". Thanks to those guys.

Yesterday I was on Lewisville and had just recovered my boat at the Little Elm launch ramp when a LE policeman pulled up and asked me if I wanted to go back out. I thought he was kidding but apparently they received a distress call from someone on the lake, broke down and needing a tow back to the LE ramp. I was happy to do it. Launched again, found them and towed them in. They tried to pay me and I flatly refused.

Sometimes, paybacks are great.

Kudos to a good samaritan. What goes around, comes around.
