There is an article in the December Bassmaster magazine where a guy in California is using that Rapala lure and catching the heck out of suspended bass.

There was an article in BASS master magazine on the Rapala jigging Rap. There is a pro in California that uses it for suspended largemouths. Seems like it might do the trick for Hybrids and Sandies. In the article he says that minimum depth for effectiveness is 20 ft, and is better when the fish are deeper. I am gonna order a couple to try on Cedar Creek.
